RUSLAN Communications builds ATM network for Comcor

RUSLAN Communications has announced that it has put into operation a backbone ATM network built for Comcor, a Moscow-based telecommunications operators. On the customer's SDH network, the systems integrator installed nine switching nodes using the ForeRunner switches from Fore Systems, supporting up to 622 mbps. The project is valued at about $2 million and Comcor plans to return the investments within five years. According to manager of a department of Comcor Vladimir Bulanov, the two partners intends to further expand the network by installing another 6-10 switches a year.
