Two thirds of Russian stock market players unprepared for Y2K
The Federal Commission for Stock Market has announced the results of a survey it has carried out among the players on the Russian stock market. Of 206 registered companies, only 162 have provided the FCSM with reports on their Y2K readiness. The completion of Y2K preparation work has been reported by 62 of them. 112 market players have informed their customers about the steps taken in this direction. Plans for work in emergency situations that can be brought about by computer systems failures have been developed by 117 companies.
