Norilsk Nickel spends $3 million on Y2K problem

Norilsk Nickel has announced that it has upgraded 600 ‘units of computer equipment’ and tested all the application software used on these machines. The work has been carried out both within the company and in its subsidiaries. According to manager of Norilsk Nickel information and automation systems department Alexey Rasskazov, the project was valued at about $3 million.
