Intersputnik to launch two Express-A satellites

Intersputnik has announced that it intends to launch two new Express-A series satellites this year. The satellites are produced by NPO PM and are equipped with Alcatel Espace payloads. Each satellite bears 17 transponders, 12 of which work in the C band and five – in the Ku band. The launches are scheduled for March and June to replace Express-6 and Gorizont-26 satellites that are currently being used.
