Computer Mechanics completes second stage of Tambov project

Computer Mechanics has announced that it has completed the second stage of a project to build a corporate network at Tambov Panel House-building Combine. The network will eventually interconnect the factory’s production facilities and its accounting department. Additionally, Computer Mechanics will build a LAN based on a Compaq server and about 10 workstations at the Moscow office of the factory’s owners. The whole project calls for the delivery of four Compaq servers, about 100 Compaq workstations, 3Com networking hardware, Microsoft software, as well as technical support. According to Computer Mechanics project manager Oleg Avilov, the works at the combine are to be finished by April.
