Splan to choose automated banking system for new bank
The consulting company Splan has announced a tender for the delivery and implementation of an automated banking system for "a new commercial bank located in the European part of Russia". The principal requirements to the system are as follows: it has to fully support payments by individuals, utilize the bank's existing hardware and software infrastructure (Sun servers and Oracle DBMS), feature short implementation cycle, consist of modules and be able to interact with other Oracle-based systems. The system should be installed on Sun Sparc Enterprise 3500 2*333/1.0Gb/54Gb server and 20 workplaces based on Pentium 333/16Mb or better PCs.
