Sterling Group completes first stage of Voronezhsviazinform project

Sterling Group has announced that it has completed the first stage of a project to implement the SAP R/3 system at Voronezhsviazinform. The systems integrator automated the telecommunications operator's financial processes by installing the modules Financial Accounting, Controlling, Materials Management and Financial Management, and integrated the customer's billing system with R/3. The ERP system implemented works under Windows NT and Oracle DBMS on the LH server from Hewlett-Packard. According to Sterling Group automated management systems department manager Igor Zimenko, the contract was signed in December 1998 as a result of a tender, calling for his company to implement SAP R/3 and upgrade the customer's network infrastructure, using Cisco Systems equipment. In the New Year Sterling Group plans to automate other business processes at Voronezhsviazinform.
