Quantum presents Atlas V in Moscow
Quantum has announced that its is starting to produce Ultra160 SCSI Atlas V, a new HDD for servers, workstations and data storage systems. The main characteristics of the disks are as follows: 7200 rpm, the average search time of 6.3 ms, the capacity of 9, 18 and 36 Gb. The mass shipments will start in January at recommended retail prices of $299 (9 Gb), $449 (18 Gb) and $799 (36 Gb).
