CSS St. Petersburg completes second stage of Ford Vsevolozhsk project

CSS St. Petersburg has announced that it completed the second stage of a project to automate the office of Ford Vsevolozhsk opened by Ford Motors Company in St. Petersburg to oversee the construction of a Ford plant in Vsevolozhsk. The first stage completed in May included the creation of the Systimax SCS structured cable system from Lucent Technologies for 130 ports and the installation of networking equipment from Nortel Networks. The second stage called for the expansion of the SCS to 180 ports, the delivery of a corporate data processing center based on the NT server Dell PowerEdge and a number of fault protection solutions, as well as the creation of a data storage system based on Dell and Seagate technologies. After the second stage the partners also signed a long-term service contract.
