Minsviazi, CDMA Association sign MoU
The Ministry of Communications and Information (Minsviazi) and CDMA Association have signed a memorandum of understanding. Based the agreement, the Moscow arbitrary court stopped a suit against the ministry, regarding its decision to restrict CDMA to fixed wireless usage in Russia. The interested parties decided not to publish the text of the memorandum at the moment, only saying that they would create a workgroup to develop “standard solutions for most effective usage of IS-95 networks” and that CDMA operator are now allowed to offer services “supported by CDMA technology”.
