Khrunichev space center completes SyteLine tests

Socap has announced that it has completed a pilot project to implement several modules of the enterprise management system SyteLine by Symix Systems at Khrunichev space center. The project called for the testing of human resources, accounting, warehousing, planning, and project management modules. Currently the customer is evaluating the results of the project, also considering R/3, BAAN and Concord systems. According to Andrey Gromyko, project manager at Khrunichev, his company “liked the system in general but found localization of some modules insufficient”. If the space center finally makes a decision to purchase SyteLine, “either Socap will have to adjust those modules or Khrunichev will have to buy them from other companies”, he says. During the first three-year stage of the project, the space center plans to buy about 500 computers and as many software licenses.
