A group of organizations, including Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange, the Moscow branch of Penza Electrotechnical Research Institute, Hewlett-Packard, Golden Telecom, CMA Small Systems and Global One, have signed a memorandum of intention to jointly develop and implement information technologies in the Russian financial market. Within the next six months the partners plan to sign a multilateral agreement on strategic partnership until the year 2005. The agreement should define the role of each partner – Hewlett Packard as an equipment and system software supplier, CMA Small Systems as a systems integrator, Golden Telecom and Global One as telecommunications services providers, the Penza institute as a developer of cryptography systems. The partners also plan to use in their joint projects Cisco Systems networking equipment and Informix and Inprise database management systems.
