Law on Internet to be prepared for public hearings
Oleg Finko, chairman of Information Policy and Communications Committee of the Russian State Duma has signed a decree to create a group of experts which will take part in the discussion of the results of the development of the law On the Internet. The group includes representatives of the Russian Academy of Sciences, ACT Group, Aquarius Systems, Belmont Consultant, Cisco Systems, Compaq Computer, ComputerAge, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Intel, Kraftway, Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, TerraLink, Algorithm Group, Global One and Classica. The short-term plans of the group call for the preparation of the draft law for public hearings which will be organized in the Internet early next year.
