Compaq reports Y2K preparation results
The Russian office of Compaq has announced the results of its work to prepare for the year 2000 and its plans for work on the first days of next year. According to Compaq specialist for service solutions Dmitry Vrubel, many of his company’s corporate customers have completed the checking of their information systems. Some of them - for example, the cellular operator Vympelcom and two banks - have signed special support agreements with Compaq for the period from December 31 until January 4. The vendor has also carried out special training for its partners, including CHS-Verysell, CSS International, CIT Kami, Induction, CPS and R-Style. From December 31 until January 4, about 20 employees of the Moscow office of Compaq will constantly keep in touch with the vendor’s technical support service.
