Minolta printer distributors to become DPI dealers
According to Ronald Kuik, manager of the European office of QMS for sales and marketing in Central and Eastern Europe, following the recent acquisition of QMS by Minolta, all the printers previously available under the QMS and Minolta brands will now be sold under a brand, including the names of the two companies. In Russia, they will be distributed by DPI and MAS Elektronikhandels. According to DPI products manager Alexander Novitsky, now it is impossible to say how the merger will affect the Russian market because the sales policy will only be defined by April. He says 10 former Minolta distributors will probably become DPI dealers. At the same time, NBZ Computers, specializing in QMS color printers, will retain its status of sub-distributor. However, according to MAS Elektonikhandels commercial director Alexander Korneev, the question of which of the two QMS distributors will work with former Minolta distributors is yet to be settled.DPI: (+7 095) 956-39-74 www.dpi.ru
