Russian Academy of Internet created
The Russian Academy of Internet (RAI), a non-profit organization, has been founded in Moscow. Sergey Gorodnichy, head of Gorod-Info, was assigned as executive director. Today RAI brings together 80 newly-elected academicians, representing the Russian Internet society, science and art. The RAI is sponsored by Intel and its main goal is to promote the Internet to "the wider Russian audience". The Academy will also organize an annual contest, the winners of which will be granted prizes for their contribution to the development of the Internet in Russia in 21 nominations.RAI: (+7 095) 923-93-59 www.academia.ru
