Motorola to create software development centers in Russia
Motorola has announced some results of its activities in Russia and plans for future. In 1999 the company plans to reach the sales volume of 1996, or 40 percent less than in 1998. Over the past year, the number of Motorola employees grew by 15-18 percent to 450 people, including specialists working at the vendor's representative office, the St. Petersburg software development center, the Moscow research center, the Izhevsk radio plant and other companies. The company plans to establish a number of regional software development centers which will supply their products both to the local and foreign markets. One such center is already working in St. Petersburg; another one is to be created in Nizhny Novgorod; and the third one is to be opened in Vladivostok.Motorola: (+7 095) 785-01-50
