Cabletron appoints new distributor

Cabletron Systems has authorized Soft-Tronik to distribute its technology in Russia and the CIS. The relations with the new distributor are coordinated by a specially created group within Cabletron, including a technical support engineer and a corporate accounts manager. Another such group was created earlier to work with another Cabletron distributor in Russia - CHS-Verysell. Cabletron has announced that it has now completed the creation of a two-tier distribution system in Russia and it does not plan to sign new distribution agreements in future. According to Soft-Tronik commercial director Vladimir Poznansky, the sales of Cabletron equipment account for about 10 percent of his company's revenue.
