Все новости от 1 августа 2001 г. Internet Help introduces paid-for Internet Search services
St. Petersburg-based Internet Help has announced that it has launched an
English version of its interactive search site www.AskWebHelp.com. A similar
Russian-language resource of the company (www.internethelp.ru) was launched
a year ago. Both sites offer Internet search services: a user submits a
request and Internet Help employees find respective links. To offer such
services, the company created an operating center, which now employs 40
people, capable of processing both Russian and English requests. All
requests and links found are stored in a knowledge base that is available to
unregistered users as well. According to Internet Help director Dmitry
Vereshkin, for English users the services of his company will cost $7.95 a
month, with payments to be made by credit cards. Potential users can
register and use the site's services for three days free of charge. For
Russian users the services have been free, although the company has been
processing about 1,000 requests a day. However, in the near future, the
Russian site will also become commercial, according to Mr. Vereshkin.
