Ministry of Education chooses computer suppliers for half of rural schools
The tender committee working in the framework of a project to equip rural
schools with computers has announced the results of its activities. For the
Privolzhsky, Southern, and Northwestern federal regions, the committee did
not choose a winner. For the Central Federal region, the committee
considered applications of three vendors and rejected two of them, as they
could not provide bank guarantees. The application of the third candidate -
IVK - met all the requirements and the Ministry of Education sent a request
to the Ministry of Economic Development to announce the vendor as the winner
for this region. For other regions the following companies were chosen: the
Ural federal region - Dell Systems (the contract is valued at about $2.5
million); the Siberian federal region - Kraftway (the contract is valued at
about $7.5 million); the Far Eastern region - Kraftway (the contract is
valued at about $2.5 million).
