Vympelcom announces 1999 results

Vympelcom has announced some results of its activities last year. The operator reported losses of $39.6 million, or $1.71 per share ($1.28 per ADR). In 1998, the results were $4.7 million, $0.24 and $0.18 respectively. The company’s operating revenue also decreased from $375.95 million in 1998 to $238.6 million last year. The subscriber base of Vympelcom grew by 183 percent from 124,000 to 350.5 users.
