AMS to build LAN at RosEnergoAtom

AMS has announced that it has signed a contract with RosEnergoAtom for the creation of a structured cable system and a LAN in the building of the Ministry of Atomic Energy. The SCS for about 1,500 ports will be based on UTP equipment and BICC Brand-Rex MilleniuM fiber optic cable. The systems integrator will also use Cisco Systems equipment, APC Symmetra UPS systems, Hitachi Utopia climate control systems, as well as thee Hewlett-Packard servers. The project is to be completed by May. In the meantime, the customer is to choose suppliers of software and workstations.
