Berkut installs SMS center at Extel

St. Petersburg-based Berkut has completed the installation of its short messaging service (SMS) center at Extel, a cellular operator in Kaliningrad. The center includes a server, network interface cards and respective software, and supports e-mail and voice mail notification, the reception of information from the Internet, paging, telebanking and other services. According to Berkut marketing director Valentin Orekhov, the system is almost 10 times cheaper than its foreign counterparts.
