IBS wins tender in Ukraine

IBS has announced that is has won a tender held by Neftegas of Ukraine to choose a systems integrator to create a management system. The tender was announced in June 1999 and included a number of qualification requirements to applicants – a minimum of 5 years of experience in the IT market and a record of at least three large scale integration projects over the past three years. According to IBS PR and advertising manager Lada Scherbakova, the tender brought together eight Russian, Ukrainian and foreign companies, three of which – S&T Ukraine, Kvazar-Micro (both Ukrainian) and IBS – proceeded to the finals. As a result, IBS was chosen as a prime contractor on the project. The systems integrator will use SAP R/3, IBM, Informix, Microsoft, Oracle and SAS products. IBS partners on the project include Soft-Tronik and NIPIASUtransgas. Ms. Scherbakova says her company plans to open an office in Kiev to help manage the project.
