IBS announces plans to go public

Following the recent receipt of the ISO 9001 certificate from Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance, IBS has announced that it plans to turn into an open joint stock company. According to the company’s general director Sergey Matsostky, it should happen next year. By the end of this year, IBS will complete a three-year international audit, necessary for the systems integrator to sell its shares at the US stock exchanges. Mr. Matsotsky says his company has been taking certain steps to increase its attractiveness for investors. One of such steps was the creation of Software Development Center last year. According to SDC director Dmitry Loschinin, the center was created to promote services of IBS as a software developer in foreign markets. Specializing in Internet applications, the center currently employs about 100 people and it is carrying out about 20 projects in the US (for example, for Boeing and IBM), “a number of interesting projects in Russia”, and is trying to enter European markets.
