Paragon releases new EPOC localization product
Last week Paragon Software announced RussianEPOC-Everest, a system for the full Russian language localization of Psion Series 5mx devices. The previous version of the product only provided partial localization of the OS EPOC32. The company also announced that under the terms of its agreement with the Russian office of Psion Plc (Galaxy Computers) all legal users will get RussianEPOC free of charge. All other Psion users, including those who bought the devices through MacCenter, will have to pay $148.85 for the new version. In a press release Paragon explained that it failed to reach an agreement for a free upgrade with MacCenter. MacCenter in turn distributed its own press release, stating that Paragon had not made attempts to reach such an agreement and all negotiations were to make MacCenter stop the development of its own localization tools for EPOC32. To protect its customers, MacCenter plans to improve its product ElbRUS5 and create a technical support service. Paragon Software: (+7 095) 408-61-79
