Plus Communications to build MGTS corporate network

Plus Communications has announced that it started the first stage of a project to build a corporate network for Moscow's public telephone operator MGTS. The system is to be based on Cisco 7200VXR and Cisco 2600 routers, Catalyst 1900-Enterprise switches, and Cisco Works 2000 network management system. The first stage calls for the interconnection of 26 MGTS nodes and is to be completed in the middle of October. The contract also includes customer training and a five-year technical support of the system.
