Microsoft announces DevCon'99 results, awards winners

Microsoft has published the results of its annual conference of professional developers and information technologies specialists DevCon'99. The conference included seminars in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Kiev, devoted to the development of applications in Windows Distributed interNet Applications (Windows DNA), which attracted about 700 people. The company also announced the results of a tender for the best customer relations automation offer for a large commercial company. The contest was won by five people from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Kiev. As part of its global Microsoft Developer Network Regional Director program, the software vendor granted the title of regional director to general director of Kiev-based MT Valery Boiko and director for business development of Kazan-based ABAK. The program had first been launched in Russia in 1998 and the first title of regional director was given to general director of St. Petersburg-based Digital Design Andrey Federov.
