Sun Microsystems announces financial results, identifies best Russian partners

In July Sun Microsystems published some of the results of its work in its 1999 fiscal year which had ended on June 30. According to the company's general manager in the CIS Luc Opdebeeck, despite of the crisis, the company generated its highest annual revenue in recent years. Desktop systems accounted for 11 percent of revenues (20 percent in 1998), entry-level servers - 25 percent (8 percent in 1998), enterprise servers - 32 percent (40 percent in 1998), data storage systems - 25 percent (25 percent in 1998), software - 2 percent (3 percent in 1998), hardware upgrades - 5 percent (4 percent in 1998). The best Russian partners in 1999 fiscal years were Open Technologies, Jet InfoSystems and PricewaterhouseCoopers. TechnoServ A/C and CHS-Verysell were identified as the fastest growing partners.
