Second Russo-Sino-Kazakh Forum
TMK was a participant and sponsor of the Second Russo-Sino-Kazakh Forum, which was held from November 30 through December 2 in Beijing. A representative delegation from TMK participated in the forum and was headed-up by the Deputy General Director of TMK, Sergey Bilan, who presented a report at the conference. During the forum, representatives of TMK also conducted negotiations with numerous large Chinese companies, nurturing interest in developing partnerships with TMK.
TMK actively participates in the supply of pipe products for Russian and foreign oil & gas projects in which Chinese companies also participate. Especially active cooperation between TMK and Chinese companies is being carried out in CIS countries. Currently, the purchases of Chinese oil companies make up 20% of the total amount of pipe supplied by TMK in Kazakhstan and 40% of pipe supplied by TMK to Azerbaijan. This partnership holds strong prospects for future development.
The Russia-China-Kazakhstan Forum is conducted with the support of the Federal Energy Agency of the RF, The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan, The National Commission for Growth and Reforms of the PRC and various other organizations. More than two hundred representatives of leading national and international companies participated in the most recent forum, including those working in the oil & gas sector and contiguous branches of the economies of Russia, China and Kazakhstan, various government agencies of these countries, and also banks, investment companies, and legal and consulting firms.
At the forum, the situation in the oil & gas markets of the three countries was discussed – the prospects for cooperation in the prospecting, drilling, transportation and processing of raw hydrocarbons; various aspects of joint investment activities, trade and other issues.
