Parus has announced that the systems integrator TISSA and its regional
branch Parus-Bashkortostan have started a joint project. The project calls
for the automation of some business processes of Tatenergo. According to
Parus-Bashkortostan representatives, the contract was granted without a
tender, however the customer had also considered such systems as Galaktika,
1S:Enterprise, Oracle Applications, and SAP R/3. The contract calls for
TISSA to carry out all implementation work, while Parus-Bashkortostan will
provide consulting and methodological services. During the first stage of
the project 25 workplaces on two sites of the customer's parent enterprise
will be automated with Parus 8.3 (the modules Accounting, Procurement,
Sales, and Warehouse). The remaining 26 sites of the customer's subsidiaries
(over 200 licenses) will get Parus 7.11 that can be upgraded to Parus 8.3 if
necessary. This stage will take "a little less than a year". According to
Parus-Bashkortostan representatives, the whole project is likely to span
several years.
