Golden Telecom reports decreased in losses
Golden Telecom has announced the results of its work in Russian in financial
year 2000. The company's sales totalled $113.1 million (up from $97.9
million in 1999). Annual losses amounted to $10.3 million (down from $46.5
million in 1999). Losses per share equated to $0.43 ($3.39 in 1999). Most of
Golden Telecom's revenue was generated by its subsidiaries ($42.0 million).
Sales of data transmission services over the Internet generated $41.5
million; international telephony - $14.8 million; and mobile communications
services - $17.5 million.
