Zebra Telecom has formally announced the launch of its business in Moscow.
The company was founded by A&T Trade and specializes in Internet access,
IP-telephony and IP-telephony systems integration services. The company is
headed by one of A&T Trade's top managers Denis Miroshnikov and now employs
about 50 people. Zebra Telecom has already started to offer these services,
using two access nodes based on Cisco Systems hardware located at the Moscow
traffic exchange site M-9 and the company's office, and telecommunications
channels of Macomnet, Teleport-TP, Global One, Telia and some other
operators. The first IP-telephony systems integration projects are also
underway. According to Zebra Telecom director for network operations Andrey
Scherbakov, this year his company plans to invest in its development about
$10 million provided by A&T Trade. Part of this money will be spent on
regional development, including the creation of access nodes and marketing
and technical support services in 'four large Russian cities'.
