Gamma Group looking for telcoms investors
St. Petersburg-based Gamma Group, which unites three companies - Gamma
Invest, Gamma Capital and Gamma Development, has announced that it is
starting investment activities in the Russian telecommunications and IT
markets. Currently, the group is taking part in a number of
telecommunications projects - for example, working as a financial advisor on
a development plan for Rostelecom and on the Sviazinvest reorganization. At
the same time, Gamma Group is negotiating with foreign investors to create
several investment funds in Russia, which will finance telecommunications
and IT projects. Gamma Group expects that the capital of each of those funds
will be from $50 million to $250 million.
