Golden Telecom and MCT Corp found large Russian cellular telephony holding
Golden Telecom has announced that it has acquired 18 percent of MCT Corp. In exchange for 100 percent of shares of Vostok Mobile B.V. As part of the agreement, Golden Telecom also bought MCT's debts worth $9 million from its creditors. The deal is scheduled for completion within two or three months.
As a result, MCT will gain control over 26 Russian cellular operators.
