Ministry of Communications lays claim to 'supervision' of Russian Internet
The Ministry of Communications and Information has put together an extensive list of activities that it believes should be supervised by the state. These include the creation and use of information resources, the provision of information services, the distribution of software products, the implementation and maintenance of information systems and the provision of respective services, the use of Internet technologies, the provision of information security services. Despite this bold announcement, the Ministry has not explained how this supervision might be executed.
