Elbrus implements Airport at Zvartnos

Elbrus has announced that it has completed a project to implement the information system Airport at the airport Zvartnots in Erevan, Armenia. The system developed by the airport’s subsidiary Aviainfotel and Elbrus specialists supports passenger and luggage flow tracking. The contractor also built a fiber optic network based on Fast Ethernet and installed the dual-processor server Sun Ultra Enterprise 450 with the DBMS Oracle 8i SE, Oracle Application Server 4.0.0, MySQL, and Microsoft Access. The local network based on Cisco switches interconnect about 120 Dell personal computers. The system also includes ArcInfo and Arciew geoinformation systems supplied by ESRI and a number of applied programs developed by the customer. The project is valued at “several hundred thousand dollars”.
