3COM partners with RRC and National Optical Cconference

RRC, National Optical Conference and 3Com have created a strategic alliance to develop and implement networking and telecommunications technologies in ferrous metallurgy. According to 3Com acting regional manager Vitaly Fridland, the alliance was initiated by the Russian companies, and 3Com was invited because it accounts for 70 percent of networking equipment being used by enterprises in the ferrous metallurgy industry in Russia. The vendor suggests the creation of a library of standard solutions for companies with 500-2,500 employees, which will be offered to customers “on special terms”.
