Memonet, a member of the Media-Most holding, has announced the launch of a new ISP – NTV-Internet. The new Memonet subsidiary will specialize in the provision of high-speed asymmetric Internet access through the Bonum-1 satellite owned by Media-Most. Another Internet-related company owned by Memonet is a content provider that has no name yet. Memonet employs about 100 people and is managed by general director Vladimir Lensky. According to Mr. Lensky, Media-Most invested about $10 million in the three companies. Initially, the new ISP will primarily target the users of NTV+ satellite antennas. By the company’s estimates, of 125,000 such users about 60 percent have home PCs and only 20 percent have Internet access. The company plans to offer unlimited access at $21 a month for individual users and $60 a month for corporate users.
