Hewlett-Packard demonstrates new servers

Hewlett-Packard has demonstrated two new scalable six-processor servers in Moscow – NetServer LH 6000 and LT 6000r. The new models are based on Pentium III Xeon 500-733 MHz, up to 8 GB of SDRAM, and up to 12 Ultra 2 SCSI HDDs. According to HP marketing manager Vyacheslav Ivaschenko, the new servers are aimed at the same user groups as NetServer LH 4. However, the latter will not be phased out in the near future, but it will become a little cheaper. In a basic configuration, LH 6000 and LT 6000r cost $8,500 and $9,500 respectively.
