3Com stops shipping Palm devices in Russia

On March 1, the Russian office of 3Com stopped shipping portable devices manufactured by its former Palm division. According to Dmitry Khavzhu, director of MacCenter, a distributor of Palm in Russia, his company does not plan any changes in its work, except that it will now source the equipment from the London office of Palm. Yaroslav Kuzmitsky, manager for 3Com equipment at RRC, another Palm distributor, says that his company not only retained the right to sell Palm organizers in Russia but can now offer it all over Europe. In the near future, RRC plans to start shipping Palm equipment in Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and Ukraine – where it has local offices.
