Intel announces two tenders

The Russian office of Intel has announced two tenders in the framework of its academic program. The first tender is called Solutions for Internet Economics based on Intel Solutions and is aimed at Russian universities, which can submit projects to develop new training courses and carry out scientific research in the area of Internet economics and e-commerce. The winner will be granted Intel hardware for a value of about $75,000. Another tender – WebStart – is aimed at school students whose Russian-language Web projects will compete in two categories – The best team site (the prize is a Pentium III Xeon-based server) and The best personal site (a Pentium III-based workstation). The vendor also plans to identify The Best Web scout – a student who will find more educational resources than others. The winner will be granted 100 hours of free Internet access. The applications are accepted until April 15 and the results will be announced in May.
