Aquarius Data launches servers production

Last week Aquarius Data announced that it had started commercial production of two lines of Intel processor based servers: Economy (models AquaServer EI100, EI200 and EI300) and Professional (AquaServer PI200, PI401, PI402RM and PI800RM). All the models utilize Intel motherboards and will be delivered to customers with Windows NT 4.0 Server pre-installed. Typical retail prices for the machines in a basic configuration will be $2,436 for the dual-processor AquaServer EI200, $7,700 for the quad-processor AquaServer PI401, and $24,000 for the eight-processor AquaServer PI800RM. According to Aquarius Data general director Leonid Goldenberg, production was started in June and today the vendor has a steady demand for them. Average monthly shipments of the Economy models is 50 units (about 30 of them are delivered through the distributor OCS).
