MCC appoints new general director

The shareholders' meeting of Moscow Cellular Communications has approved the assignment of Boris Zverev as general director. Mr. Zverev will officially take over his new responsibilities on November 1. Until then he will remain general director of Moscow Intercity and International Telephone (MMT) where he has worked for the past 11 years. His predecessor at MCC, and general director of Interregional Transit Telecom (ITT) Vyacheslav Gurkin will retain his position at ITT and a title of MCC board member.
