Lucent Technologies to upgrade transport network in Krasnodar

Lucent Technologies has announced that it started the delivery of equipment for the upgrade of an SDH network in Krasnodar. The contract with Kubanelectrosviaz was signed late in July, calling for the delivery of five WaveStar ADM 16/1 systems and the implementations of an STM-16 system. Additionally, the vendor will supply new expansion boards for the ISM-2000 system and upgrade the management system ITM-SC. The project is aimed at a fourfold increase in Kubanelectrosviaz network capacity.
