Classica completes first stage of Wimm-Bill-Dann project

The systems integrator Classica has announced that it completed the first stage of a project to build a corporate data network for the large Russian food manufacturer Wimm-Bill-Dann. The plan calls for the interconnection of about 15 branches of the customer in Russia and the CIS. The contract was signed early this year after the customer had chosen to use frame relay access equipment Netperformer from ACT Networks and the Definity PABX from Lucent Technologies. The first stage involved the connection of five remote branches to the customer's main office. The 32-64 kpbs channels were provided by Golden Line in Moscow, Sovam Teleport on the intercity level, and local operators at the regional level. The whole project is valued at $100,000 and is scheduled for completion late this year or early next year.
