IBM presents new PCs in Moscow

The Moscow office of IBM has demonstrated the new line up of its IBM PC 300 GL personal computers. The series is based on the Celeron processor working at up to 500 MHz and the Intel 810 chipset. The standard configuration includes a 8.4, 10.1 or 13.5 GB hard disk and 32 or 64 MB of RAM, expandable to 512 MB. Depending on a configuration, the new machines are already available at a price of $1,000-$1,800. The vendor also announced a new notebook - ThinkPad 570 - based on Pentium II 300PE, 333 or 366 MHz. The portable model will become available in Russia in October at a price of about $3,900.
