Dmitry Pumpyansky, Chairman of the TMK Board of Directors, speaks at the 10th annual conference of investors of Renaissance Capital

Within the framework of the conference, directors from the largest foreign financial institutions, and also the largest Russian companies from various sectors of the economy – energy, metallurgy, oil and gas, telecommunications, the financial and consumer sphere – held a productive exchange of opinions and shared their evaluations of the current state and prospects of investment activity in Russia.

“In 2005, as a result of careful analysis of the industry’s development, the Company’s market position, its internal environs, the competition conditions and the general economic trends, TMK framed a strategy for its further growth over the next 10 years. The main aim of the investment programme is to satisfy the market demand and attain a correlation between the quality and nomenclature of TMK products and the growing requirements of the world’s leading manufacturers,” underlined Dmitry Pumpyansky.

This is the tenth time that the annual conference for foreign investors has been held by the investment company Renaissance Capital. In 2006 the conference was attended by representatives of the companies Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, OAO Gazprom, TNK-BP, OAO Rosneft, OAO LUKOIL, OAO Surgutneftgaz, OAO GMK Norilsky Nikel, Rosoboronexport, OAO Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Combine, OAO Novolipetsk Metallurgical Combine, OOO EvrazHolding, OAO VympelKom, AFK Sistema, and OAO Vneshtorbank.
