The oil company YUKOS plans to invest over $40 million in the development of
its corporate information systems. According to Mikhail Rogachev, head of
YUKOS corporate management systems department, most of this sum will be
spent on the upgrade of the company's ERP and financial reporting system, as
well as on the migration of all YUKOS subsidiaries to unified software. The
plan also calls for the upgrade of YUKOS database. Mr. Rogachev says his
company is now considering Russian vendors Galaktika and Parus, and a number
of other Russian and foreign vendors as potential contractors. Last year the
oil company already spent about $40 million on the upgrade of its
information systems, $16 million of which were invested in the development
of telecommunications.
