Socap becomes Frontstep CIS
Enterprise software vendor Frontstep has announced that it has opened a
representative office in Moscow based on its local partner Socap. Called
Frontstep CIS, it is a Russian company part owned by the foreign investor.
The representative office is managed by former general director of Socap
Maria Ilina. The position of director of marketing and sales was given to
Pavel Karaulov. According to Ms. Ilina, in the nearest future her company
plans to increase the staff from 45 to 60 people, with most of the new
employees to be hired by the consulting and sales departments. Frontstep USA
director for European operations Roderick Rittmeyer would not disclose the
share his company owns in Frontstep CIS but said it plans to increase it.
According to Ms. Ilina, Frontstep CIS may become a 100 percent foreign
company in the foreseeable future.
